Frequently Asked Questions
Can we discuss my needs before I make a decision about whether to work together?
Absolutely! Please reach out to me to set up a time to talk, or we can exchange emails. For the most productive initial consultation, please email me a brief overview of your project needs and the support you are seeking. Based on what you share, I will ask follow-up questions and offer ideas about how to move forward.
How long are your typical engagements?
Project duration varies, ranging from a couple of hours to months-long staff augmentation roles.
How do we work together?
I am available to meet via phone, video conference (such as Zoom or Google Meet), email, or in person. During our initial consultation we will discuss which options make the most sense for you and your project goals.
What time zone are you in?
I am in the U.S. Pacific Time zone.
What is your process?
The first step is to clarify your needs and agree on an approach. I will create and share a preliminary work plan and budget, and then check in with you as frequently as we agreed.
Will my work, and our work together, be kept confidential?
Yes. All documents and client communications are confidential unless you provide permission to share them. Phone and video conferences are never recorded unless you request otherwise.
Do you do ghostwriting?
Sometimes. I cannot write content for academic purposes (for instance, a school application essay or an academic paper) that you will take credit for, since that is not ethical. However, for business content I can work with you to expand and distill your ideas into a formal full-length version, reflecting your voice; of course you will have full freedom to make edits and adjustments.
